Charles Smith, Lance Battreal, and Mark Booher Trying To Be Rabbits On The Run?

And the town was searching every where for the rabbits on the run! So far, the rabbits have not been too successful. Three inmates escaped from the Indiana State Prison. By Monday afternoon, Charles Smith, 48, a convicted killer was caught near the vacation home of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley. Dailey's bodyguard held him at gun point until the police arrive. (Don't mess with Chicago Bear fans, they shoot back.) Smith was probably happy to be turned over to the Grand Beach Police instead of facing the wrath of an irate security guard.

Authorities warned the public to stay inside since a convicted murder and a rapist were still on the lose. The three convicts escaped from the prison through a tunnel system underneath the penitentiary. Ironically, Dailey's vacation home is eight miles from the penitentiary and has it's own security.

Still on the run, Lance Battreal, left, is a convicted rapist. Charles Smith, center is caught. Mark Booher (46), another convicted murderer, is still on the run. Booher is from New Castle, Indiana. He was also was spotted in Grand Beach. A woman in Grand Beach saw two men in her driveway and called police. But they have yet to be caught.

Convicted rapist, Lance Battreal is a 45 year old from Rockport, Indiana.

Indiana Department of Correction officials said the men were discovered missing about 10 a.m. Sunday. The convicts escaped by getting past bars in the tunnels and pipe chases under the grounds of the Michigan City prison. Two of the inmates did maintenance work in the prison's tunnel system. The three were in the same housing unit at the time of their escape. All three started serving time in the late 1990s. All three faced at least 30 more years behind bars. Now it will be longer...

Three good looking guys! Are they single?

Good to know the Michigan City prison has a ready made escape tunnel, I guess digging their own would take up to much of their TV time and be a violation of their rights as rapist and murderers.

Video Guy, your sites documentary of the Shanda Sharer murder shows how cruel teens can be. I hope parents and teens view the video and discuss why "mean girls" and those imitating them are bad.

Now these are the same type of men who run away from alimony and child support. I hope they are caught and forced to work to pay the mother of their kids!

This reminds me of the three female escapees from the womens pen in Rockville, Indiana. A blonde, a brunette and a redhead escaped from the pen. After running for some time, they came across a barn and decided to hide inside. They found three burlap sacks, so they each hid in one.
When the police arrived at the barn, one of the officers told his partner about three sacks.

"Kick them to make sure the prisoners aren't hiding in them," his partner said.

The officer kicked the sack with the brunette in it and she yelled, "MEOW!" "There's just a cat in this one," he said.

Next he kicked the sack with the redhead in it and she yelled, "WOOF! WOOF!" "There's just a dog in this one," he remarked.

Finally, he kicked the sack with the blonde in it and she yelled, "POTATOES!"

I can't believe what these guys were thinking. Is it really worth escaping to the real world and working to support yourself?

In prison you spend the majority of your time in an 8' X 10' cell.

At work you spend most of your time in a 6' X 8' cubicle.

In prison you get three meals a day.

At work you only get one meal and you have to pay for that one.

In prison you get time off for good behavior.

At work you get rewarded for good behavior with more work.

In prison a guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you.

At work you must carry around a security card and unlock and open all the doors yourself.

In prison you can watch TV and play games.

At work you get fired for watching TV and playing games.

In prison they ball-and-chain you when you go somewhere.

At work you are confined to your desk and cubicle.

In prison you get your own toilet.
But at work you have to share.

In prison they allow your family and friends to visit. But at work you cannot even speak to your family and friends.

In prison all expenses are paid by taxpayers, with no work required.
At work you get to pay all the expenses to go to work and then they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for the prisoners.

In prison you spend most of your life looking through bars from the inside wanting to get out.

At work you spend most of your time wanting to get out and into a bar.

In prison you can join many programs which you can leave at any time.

At work there are some programs you can never get out of.

In prison there are wardens who are often sadistic. At work we call these managers.

A man escaped from a prison and during the course of running away, he breaks into a house. There he found a young couple in bed.

He ordered the man out of bed andd tied him up. He tied the girl to the bed. While tying the girl up to the bed, he got on top of her, kissed her on the neck, then went to the bathroom.

While the escapee is in the bathroom the husband tells his wife, "Listen, this guy is an escaped prisoner. He probably spent lots of time in jail, and hasn't seen a woman in years.

I saw how he kissed your neck. If he wants sex, don't resist, don't complain, just do what he tells you, just give him satisfaction. This guy must be dangerous. Give him what he wants. Be strong, honey. I love you."

To which the wife responded: "He was not kissing my neck! He was whispering in my ear that he is gay and tht he thought you were cute. Then he asked if we kept any Vaseline in the bathroom."

A prison warden asked the escapees why did you escape?

They answered: Because the food is horrible!

the warden asked: What did you use to break the bars?

They responded: This mornings toast.

I do believe if girls like the ones in Florida who kidnapped and beat up that other teen girl had been aware of this case they would not have done what the did...
This sad story is a good lesson to young people of all gender of how things can get out of hand and lead to disaster.

I'm glad you found the videos informative.

More teens need to be educated on how group think can turn to criminal craziness.

I am glad to see that Lance Batteal has been captured. His parents should be charged with aiding and abetting an escapee, and the prison should be sued for it's negligence. That should wake them up. It's a miracle that scumbag did not hurt anyone else while on the run.

The "security guards" at Mayor Daleys home are Chicago Police Officers...

makes sense that the guards would be cops...

I agree with this statement completely. I was married to his brother and didn't know a thing about this. The whole family is a bunch of losers. I got out 13 years ago
