Korena Roberts, a 28-year-old Oregon woman, told neighbors that she was expecting a child. The thing is, she didn't tell them how she expected to get the child. Rescue crews arrived at Korena Roberts' home in response to a call of a newborn in distress. Upon their arrival, EMTs found Roberts' boyfriend unsuccessfully trying to revive a baby. According to the Sheriff's office, Roberts claimed that the baby was hers. Blood was found at the scene. The baby was pronounced dead at the hospital. Physicians also confirmed that Ms. Roberts had not recently delivered a child. (Roberts is pictured above in a photograph courtesy of the Washington County Sheriffs Department.)
After searching Robert's home, Deputies found the body of 21-year-old Heather Snively in the crawl space. Authorities believe that Snively was pregnant at the time she was attacked. Snively is believed to be the mother of the infant. An autopsy will attempt to determine how the baby was delivered, and whether he died before or after delivery. The timing of the baby's death may determine whether Roberts faces two charges of murder or just one. CNN affiliate KPTV has more information for those interested. In the meantime, keep in mind that Korena Roberts is to be considered innocent unless otherwise proven in a court of law.

All in the quest to start a "loving family?"
It is disgusting. Apparently, Korena befriended Heather intent on taking her child. To Korena, it appears Heather was never a friend, she was just another brick in the crawl.
Disgusting is right!
OmG! This sounds like an episode of Law & Order SVU ... Horrible!
Maybe she just wanted a kid real bad.
This case is just plain manure!
Manure, of course, has its place in history. In the 16th and 17th centuries, everything had to be transported by ship. Commercial fertilizer did not exist then so large shipments of manure were common.
It was shipped dry, because in dry form it weighed a lot less. When it got wet at sea, fermentation began which produced a bunch of methane. Wet manure stored below gave off methane which began to build up below decks. The first to go below at night with a lantern caused an explosive boom.
Several ships were destroyed in this manner before it was determined what was happening. Ater that, the bundles of manure were always stamped with the term 'Ship High In Transit.'
This told sailors to stow it high enough off the lower decks so that any water would not touch this volatile cargo and start the production of methane.
Thus evolved the term ' S.H..I.T ' , (Ship High In Transit) which has come down through the centuries and is in use to this very day.
And I bet you thought this word originated on the golf course!
Jester
I hear she hooked up with Heather using Craigslist! If true, another piecce of bad publicity for Craigslist.
I hear all Heather was hoping to get was a vacume cleaner....
Heather was stowed away like trash. She deserved much better.
Not Cool in the extreme!
Here's the Craiglist story:

MS C, I think I did see this on tv.
Maybe she just wanted a kid? Are you serious?? LOL There are many other ways to get a baby without killing someone.
Craigslist has disclaimers warning people about psychos and tells them to be careful. What more can they do? Some people are just very naive and gullible.
Korena looks mentally ill. So I'm not sure why Heather trusted her.
Some may say Heather looked a little odd herself... I think HEATHER really wanted Korena to be friend...
Money don't matter and looks don't count.
