Albuquerque Denny's Is Site Of Teen Slaying

As long as the memory can recall, it has always sucked working at a fast food places and inexpensive restaurants. The pay is typically minimum wage, the work is hard, management's expectations are typically too high and the customers are generally unappreciative. Yet teens do what teens have to do. Now the family of a teen slain while working at Denny's in Albuquerque has found out just how awful the job can be.

Apparently four armed men burst into the Denny's and committed armed robbery and at least one of them shot and killed a teen age girl. Police spokeswoman Nadine Hamby says "multiple" armed suspects rushed the packed northwest Albuquerque restaurant at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday.A female employee of the restaurant was shot and killed. Two people have been detained." Officially, it is not clear if the detainees are formal "suspects" in the robbery. A police tactical team has surrounded a home in the northwest part of the city where other potential suspects may have fled There are a total of at least four potential suspects. It is believed that the same individuals committed 10 more armed robberies in Albuquerque during the past year.
Two individuals were detained within minutes of the crime Saturday on suspicion of murder, kidnapping, robbery and child abuse. (Child abuse charges will likely be levied because at least five children were in the restaurant when the crime occurred.)

The two detainees who are believed to be suspects are in their late 20s to early 30s. They are from South America. Their names have yet to be released. Police are working with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. At the time of the crime, at least four masked men with rifles and handguns burst into the restaurant around 9:30 a.m. They demanded money. During the incident, the teenage employee was fatally. Her name has yet to be released. The robbers took an undetermined amount of cash.

10 similar robberies have occurred in the Albuquerque area in the past year. This was the first shooting. 100 restaurant patrons were traumatized by the incident, including at least five children. Unlike the family of the slain teen, the others will likely recover from the incident.

Some politians and news media wants us to accept the term " Illegal immigrant "

1. Illegal ..Is a criminal

2. Immigrant is a person who applies for and obtains legal means of entry.

I do not accept the term that politicians and the news media want us to accept and some people who enter out nation illegally commit terrible crimes against our citizens, that fact is well established in crime reports. South of the border illegals attack our children at an alarming rate.

I dont know if any of you were held up and have any idea about the actual situation. I was a victim at a different restaurant and personally knew and trusted one of the people that comitted this aweful crime. 2 weeks prior to the Dennys murder, I was able to give the police a description of the vehicle and they made fun of me for not writing my name on the police report. I had just had a gun to my head and had a 1 yr. old daughter at the time. No excuses for the criminals and murderer in this crime. Ask someone who has been through it. This has changed my life completely and I havent heard a word about the other restaurants or victims that this happened to. I never heard back from the police department. What happened to the police report that I made prior to the woman in my situation only 2 weeks before? I now live with guilt that I may have possibly been able to have prevent it somehow. I was also working at 9 am in the kitchen when this happened to me.I am so sorry to the family that lost their loved one at such a young age at the place she was just trying to work hard.

Sorry to hear about your trauma. Sometimes seeing a counselor can help with lingering issues.

As for the police report, I would call the prosecutor/states at tourneys office and make an official inquiry.
