David Paradiso Serves As An Example of Why Court Room Security Screening Is Essential

Standing in line for over 20 minutes, one could not help but wonder why all this security was needed in order to enter a court house. It was not always like this, you know. Prior to assaults on witnesses, Judges and attorneys, the court house was presumed to be a place of order and decorum. Twenty-eight year old David Paradiso reminds us why such security has become a necessity. Paradiso was shot by a police detective after he left the witness stand and began attacking San Joaquin County Superior Court Judge Cinda Fox. Paradiso had just testified that he had killed his girl friend "cause she deserved to die."
Judge Fox called a recess and Paradiso left the stand and approached the judge from behind with something sharp. Paradiso began striking the judge the bailiffs ran to help. Lodi Police Det. Eric Bradley then shot Paradiso. Bradley apparently saved Judge Fox' life. Next time you are standing in line waiting for a security check, remember the story of David Paradiso and then wait patiently.

The man had no respect for life.

The officer is now on leave. He ought to be given a reward and sent on vacation.

Another tragedy heading into the weekend

How is it a tragedy that an animal has been killed? Wait, you must be talking about the judge and how she feels. I sure hope she was not hurt.

No tears for PARADISO here. It is a tragedy that the judicial court system needs such high security and that some low life would attack a judge. Interestingly enough, some judges carry guns and may have shot an attacker like Paradiso prior to the deputies ever clearing leather.
