Maryanne O'Neil Goes to Jail Rather Than Pay Her $7.45 Bill At Waffle House

Despite waffling on many key issues, Obama mania sweeps the land promising to bring relief to the middle class. A Fort Pierce Florida woman who apparently can't wait for the election is accused of taking the law into her own hands. Maryanne O'Neil, age 66, ordered a coffee and a sandwich at Waffle House. She apparently was not satisfied with the food and/or the service and refused to pay her $7.45 bill. When confronted by police, she decided to go to jail rather than pay her bill.e went to jail over: $7.45. When she refused to pay, she was taken to jail. Maryanne was released Monday from the St. Lucie County Jail. She was charged with obtaining food with an intent to defraud, a second degree misdemeanor.
If convicted, she could face up to 60 days in jail and a fine of $500. Will a jury convict her of trying to get a perk that some police officers customarily receive? Maryanne, if you are dissatisfied with the food or service, pay the bill but file in small claims court. Who knows, maybe your case will wind up on Judge Judy.

I have to agree with Larry.

Why didnt she ask them to make her a new sandwich?

She would rather pay hundreds of dollars in court costs than pay a 7dollar bill? Thats just plain crazy.

This woman cant be black. Theres no way in hell we'd go to jail for a 7 dollar sandwich. We'd go to jail for whippin the cooks ass. LOL

Katfish, I saw that story. Those were some dumb chicks.

Jennifer, you know I'm lovin' every minute of CP's endorsement of Obama.

The most respected man on the planet said he's ready to be Commander in Chief. Maybe now, they'll stop bad mouthing Barack.

Barack is back! So is Collin Powell probably as secretary of defense or state...
