Hockey Captain Nathan Smith Arrested For Streaking While Penguins Nose Dive While J.R. Bouterse Sets Good Example?

Since there have been so many bad examples being set in this world, it is time for some Legal Pub basic education.

Bad Example: Nathan Smith, captain of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, was charged with indecent exposure. A police officer saw him running naked in downtown early Sunday. Ryan Stone, a teammate was arrested for public drunkenness. Nathan Smith told police he streaked because of a bet. Smith was charged with misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure, open lewdness and disorderly conduct. Not surprisingly, Smith was also charged with public drunkenness. Smith was released on $10,000 bail.

The American Hockey League team suspended Smith for its second-round home playoff game Thursday. However, the team did not suspend Stone and it is not clear how Stone would be disciplined. I don't know, but if they were my children...

Good Example: J.R. Bouterse, an 11-year-old Boy Scout in Dorr, Michigan found a wallet with $800 inside. The boy understood what it is like to lose a wallet since only a few weeks before, he had lost his own wallet which contained $45. J.R. Bouterse told an adult about the wallet he found and it was turned over to the police. "We're just so proud of him," said Michelle Bouterse, the boy's mom. As a reward, the Michigan State Police threw a pizza party in the boy's honor. 30 scouts from Troop 90 attended. Jessica Cutler, also attended the party and personally thanked the young hero. J.R.'s own lost wallet has never been returned. (photo by T.J. Hamilton.)

Finally a handsome young man (J.R.) who will someday grow up to be a good example of a man.

JR is a cutie! Good for him. I hope the guy with the $800 let him have a little cash too.

Boyscouts are better citizens than hockey players!
