Saturday Night Live Recognizes That There Is Nothing Funny About the Connecticut Shootings

Saturday Night Live recognizes that there is nothing funny about the Connecticut shootings.  The father of the alleged shooter in the Connecticut school massacre has broken his silence, expressing condolences to the families of the victims.  In fact, Saturday night, the Children's Choir opened the show in tribute to the children who lost their lives.  Peter Lanza, the father of the psychotic killer, summed up the feelings of the country, "Our family is grieving along with all those who have been affected by this enormous tragedy. No words can truly express how heartbroken we are. We are in a state of disbelief and trying to find whatever answers we can."

And what more can be said about the senseless killings perpetuated by Adam Lanza, 20.  What possible explanation is there for killing twenty 6 and 7 year old children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut?  20 children and six adults were murdered before Adam took his own life. (Adam also killed his mother Nancy Lanza at another location. The Lanza's were divorced in 2009. But many families go through divorces without turning into killers.  Peter Lanza and Adam's older brother Ryan were questioned by the FBI.  Neither man is a suspect.  Yet law enforcement was hoping to find answers.   Investigators claim that they have "very good evidence ... as to how, and more importantly, why, this occurred" yet the State Police didn't provide any further explanation.

Possible copycats?  A northern Indiana  man was arrested after allegedly threatening to "kill as many people as he could" at a local school.  Von I. Meyer, 60, allegedly made the statement during a heated argument with his wife.  He also allegedly threatened to set his wife on fire. Meyer was arrested Saturday on seven felony charges.  Meyer's wife works at the Jane Ball Elementary School  cafeteria. Although police found 47 guns and ammunition in Meyer's two-story home, most of those weapons were antique collector guns.  Authorities believes Meyer was probably not serious about his alleged school threat.
Apparently Meyer's marriage is a volatile sometimes turbulent relationship.  Furthermore, Meyers is to be presumed innocent unless otherwise proven in a court of law. In the mean time, there is nothing funny about killing children or adults.  Its time to place law enforcement in schools so that teachers and students can return their attention to education.

This is such a terriable event…And I HATE people who harm children. Weather it be a pedophile priest or an impatient parent, I don’t understand it. I myself have never struck a child…ever.

It has been reported that this kid Adam had mental issues. I’m wondering what kind of Pharmaceutical drugs he was on. Many who have been on such drugs as Prozac have claimed to become violent after stopping their treatment with them…especially if one just stops cold turkey as many mentally ill patience do.

From the information we have, it has been reported that Adam did attend the Sandy Hook Grammar School when young, but was asked to leave because of his mental condition. If true, this would be his connection to that school.
Also, Adam’s mother DID own the guns and was a regular member of a shooting club, some have reported her as a survivalist and taught her boys to shoot as well. This would explain how Adam knew how to access the guns no matter how well protected from him, and why he felt comfortable shooting them.

I have a theory and it is selective from what much of the MSM is reporting, but based on parts of the information that has been reported at this time, and much of this information reported could be wrong.
I do not believe Adam planned to kill his mother and than attack the school. I believe, IF it is true he suffered from some mental illness, that he stopped taking his medication cold turkey as he often did. An argument ensued between his mother about this and because of the cold turkey effects he became violent and shot his mother.
After this act, he was aware enough to realize he did something wrong, but had to justify this in his own ill mind, and blame someone somewhere for his actions.
It was reported that after Adam was dismissed from Sandy Hook, his mother started to home-school him. I’m speculating Adams mother, and possibly both parents, expressed animosity towards Sandy Hook during this time, after all, Adam was a bright young man. So after shooting his mother, in his ill mind he began to blame Sandy Hook for dismissing him as his life would have been different had they not…he would not have shot his mother if only he was allowed to attend that school like all the other children in his town.

So he accessed the guns, dressed the part, and drove to the school to make everyone pay.

True tragedy. It will likely spawn a ban on assault weapons even though this attack involved only semiautomatic pistols.

Clyde Barrow of Bonnie & Clyde had a military B.A.R. he used to shoot the shit out of everybody. He acquired this weapon by robbing military armories. I would thing such an armory would have better security.
Back then most all cops only had 38’s and shotguns, they were seriously out gunned by the Barrow Gang. The cops who shot Bonnie and Clyde down had to get special permission to arm themselves with the same weapons that B&C carried.
If one looks into the gangsters of that era it was the Great Depression (thanks to the corrupt bankers) that spawned them as poverty breeds crime. In the case of the B&C Gang, I feel, had there not been this depression and national poverty most of that gang would NOT have chose a life of crime…especially Bonnie, Clyde’s brother and his wife. But Clyde probably would have been a petty thief all his life…and Bonnie, with some hope for success or a decent living would have had nothing to do with him.

Here in Chicago bank robberies have doubled this year from last, and last year doubled from the year before… Our politicians ARE responsible for the environment for which they rule…and they don’t care.

Canada has as many guns as the USA per person and has 1/100th the gun violence. Not sure what their gun laws are but they do have a much better social policies than here in the US. Health Care and dental, one will not loose their house for getting sick if not insured, and if one does have to pay for meds, they are 1/10th the price here in US. Supplied by the same US pharmaceutical corps. They also did not suffer a recession there from corrupt banking practices (except for companies dealing with the US.)
