Law makers apparently agreed. The bill has been scrapped for now and sent to committee for revamping.

Agreed. The law would kill websites
SOPA is far from dead! ONLINE piracy must be controlled, but it must be done so as to eliminate censorship and penalties for web hosters.
I forgot about it when I posted last...soon as I figured out what was happening I logged off.
I think this was a shot at censuring the Internet and free speech under the premise of piracy.
No doubt the news media has been having huge losses in revenue because of the internet...so they hate it as they are behind this bill too.
If they would do their job and actual journalism instead of following Lindsey Lohan and Charlie Sheen around all day they just might get some of their audience back.
