Kelly Armstrong Appears Missing In Kokomo Update 1-10-12

It is hard to ignore. Sure there is no proof of foul play. Yet something seems "missing." And it is not just the businesses that have closed down in Howard county. No, it seems that some one is missing. Kelly Armstrong, a 27 year-old mother from Kokomo, Indiana has apparently been out of touch with her family for about six weeks according to her sister, Shelly Rush of Logansport. But not everyone thinks anything is wrong. Kelly Armstrong lives with her boyfriend, Travis Funke. Together, they have an eighteen-month-old child. According to Rush, she has been unable to get a definitive answer from Funke as to her sister's whereabouts.

Rush decided to play detective. She visited several of her sister's local hangouts and now believes that nobody has seen Armstrong in about six weeks. Rush even asked Kokomo Police to conduct a welfare check at Armstrong's home. Rush subsequently filed a missing person report. According to Rush, police have not been able to serve Funke with a warrant despite the fact that he is supposed to be home on "house arrest."

In the meantime, Kokomo police are keeping quiet. But that does not require the public to do so. Consequently, if anyone has seen Kelly Armstrong, a 5'2" 120lb woman with the auburn hair and brown eyes, call the Kokomo police at 765-459-5101.

Update 1-10-12: Armstrong has been missing since August of 2011. Authorities have searched Armstrong's home. They apparently found a blood-stain on the carpeting. It is not public knowledge whether the carpet stains are related to Armstrong's disappearance.

In the meantime, Travis Funke is to be presumed innocent of all suspicions other than of being a jerk.

Did anyone check jail? Wasn't there an arrest warrant for theft issued for Kelly in January?

Anonymous said...

Never thought of that. Is it possible boyfriend is being evasive because he is worried that she might go to jail?

would seem to indicate that Kelly might have had a "brush with the law" in January.

What makes you think that that cite reporting under Kokomo Police
Jan. 14

...
Kelly J. Armstrong, 27, Theft

...
has anything to do with her missing?

Is this the same Travis Funke that is reports on Feb. 18, Travis M. Funke, 28,2006 5200 block of Algonquin Trail, Kokomo, on a charge of public intoxication, implied consent.

Surely he would not still be on house arrest from that incident.

4-9-2010 Travis Funke, 33, Warrant: Body Attachment?

2005 Travis M. Funke, Habitual Traffic Violator?

Sounds like a bad driver but not really a criminal. Maybe the guy really just doesn't know where she took off to.

not sure travis had anything to do with his girlfriend staying out of the spotlight for a while. I guess time will tell.

Trava may run into a bit of trouble over cutting off his ankle bracelet...

YOu might even say tarvis committed a major malfunction when he violated house arrest. But still doesn't mean he had anything to do with Kelly take a leave of absence.

Anyone that is reading this please encourage the one person to come forward and tell where she is.. Travis did not do this alone.. he had to have help. Why would he send the police to the landfill to produce a body that would get him a murder charge? She is not in the landfill.. someone needs to tell where she is.. there is a rewward at crime stoppers.. make the call and get paid to help bring kelly home to her family..

Good advice. I'd csll if I knew anything

someone posted she might not be dead.. what part of confession do you not understand? It just takes one call to tell where he put her. Someone knows and that someone is probabably reading these posts..please make that call..

But he could be fibbing instead of confessing
