Florida Deputy Charged with Crimes for Failure to Take Action! ~by Legal Pub


Scot Peterson was a 56 year-old Broward County Deputy.  Prosecutors allege that the Florida deputy who failed to confront the gunman during last year’s Parkland massacre.  Peterson now faces 11 charges.  State Attorney Mike Satz believes that Scot Peterson committed child neglect, culpable negligence and perjury charges for conduct arising out of his failure to confront the gunman.

Peterson was on duty during the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.  He failed to enter the building ot confront the gunman.  Peterson faces the possibility of a combined prison sentence of nearly 100 years. Bail was set at $102,000.  Peterson's lawyer has not yet made a public statement.

Meanwhile, scum bucket twenty-year-old Nikolas Cruz faces the death penalty if convicted of killing 17 people and wounding 17 others in the attack. Cruz' offer to plead in return for a life sentence has been rejected by prosecutors.
