Could Ricin Poisoning Effect Length of Stay at an Extended Stay American Hotel or At Hospital? - story by Ralph
Does an Extended Stay America Hotel live up to it's name? In Nevada, authorities apparently arrived at the Extended Stay America hotel in Nevada after a man brought a small container to the manager's office. The man apparently found it while retrieving items from a hotel room.
Normally, not a big thing. But in this case it was apparently poison. It's "100 percent ricin," said Capt. Joe Lombardo of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. It is unknown who owns the ricin and why it was there. Three hotel employees and a fourth person were taken to the hospital as a precaution according to CNN. Three police officers are also being observed. None have shown symptoms of ricin poisoning, which can include anything from difficulty breathing, fever, cough, etc. In sum, it may be one way to increase the average stay of an occupant, but it is not a good way.
3-1-08 Legal Pub Update: Firearms and an "anarchist type textbook" were found in the same motel room. The room's most recent occupant was a 57-year-old man who has been in critical condition with breathing problems at a hospital for more than two weeks. There was no apparent link to terrorist activity. Why ricin was present is a mystery that needs solving!

Actually a pretty scary finding!
ReplyDeleteI always jump to the conclusion that it may be terrorism, but it's probably not something to worry about. You know, just simple homocide.

Oh no,
ReplyDeleteI had Mexican last night . . . ricin n' beans!
Ricin, one spec and it can kill a human.
ReplyDeleteThe previous occupant of the room where the ricin was found is in a coma in the hospital. This is serious sh@t!
