Vampire Peacock Slayed by Hero or Animal Cruelty by a Nut?


Once again, New York tops are list of odd places to visit. A peacock that wandered into a Burger King parking lot was attacked by man who swore the Whopper loving bird was a vampire. After the beating, most of its tail feathers fell out and the once proud symbol of ABC had to be euthanized. Richard Gentles, representative of New York's Center for Animal Care and Control exclaimed that "It's just unbelievable that someone would do something to a poor, defenseless animal and do it in such a cruel fashion." The beat down occurred in a Staten Island Burger King parking lot. Burger King employees had been feeding him bread when the man appeared. The vampire slayer seized the peacock by the neck, threw it down and started kicking it according to Felicia Finnegan, 19


The vampire slayer, in his late teens or early twenties, fled when police arrived.

    Such a shame that the employees who'd been feeding the peacock didn't stop the guy who attacked it.

    Employees probably should not have been feeding them anyway. They belonged to a neighbor

    Definitely animal cruelty by a nut and that nut needs to be put away.

    While NBC makes some dumb decisions, I suspect this was a story that Animal Planet or the Discovery Channel would like to get a hold of sooner rather than later.

    Animal abuse can not be tolerated.
