Big Game Hunter Sought in Murder of His Wife

Police are searching for David Munis, a Wyoming National Guardsman with sniper training, in the murder of his wife, Robin. David had been requested by police to stop harassing his estranged wife just before the shooting. Robin was singing with the band in Old Chicago Restaurant and Bar when she was shot in the head from a weapon apparently fired from the parking lot.

David Munis has been described as a "big game hunter." Legal Pub has no information as to the size of his estranged wife. David is innocent until proven guilty.

Update 7-18-07: As police closed in, David Munis took his own life.

  1. Men are not only pigs, they are stupid. This is the second story in just a few days about men who don't get it. Just a few hours before Robin is shot, David is instructed to stop harassing her. Did he honestly think he would not be the first suspect? Duh!

Get a divorce. It is cheaper to pay a divorce lawyer then a criminal defense lawyer. He will now likely pay the ultimate price of his own life.

  2. Police photos are always so flattering. Is this a mug shot? IF so what was he arrested for previously?

  4. He was framed! A sniper couldn't possibly be so stupid as to shoot his estranged wife from a distance... could he? I think OJ did it...

  5. Not much of a defense here. They found his car this morning. They are trying to hunt him down. Imagine if you were a police officer tracking a sniper. Might be a little more respectful of the "armed and dangerous" label.

  6. Men are missing the morrow of the story. Perhaps by studying these quotes, they will finally get the point.

So, Shell is this "pig" another prospect for you? I think you two might make a good couple once he gets out of the slammer. After all, Butta bing butta bang, he has his eye on you.

  8. By all accounts David was a good soldier and a good man. He may have went off the deep end over the split up with his wife.

  9. My, doesn't he look like a nice young man in that photo?

Seriously, seems like a lot of deranged husbands out there, so I am unbelievably with Shell on this topic. While divorce is not always the way to go, it sure beats this guys solution. He will not be alive very long, IMO.

  11. He took the easy way out. I would have liked to hear him try to explain why he wasted Robin's life.

  12. There is no good explanation. He got angry. He got depressed. He decided to not only take his life but also that of his wife. Way to common theme.

  13. I wonder if he had battle fatigue or post traumatic stress disorder.

  14. I am not sure he had any of those syndromes, but if he did, it sure as hell did not affect his shot. He shot a bullseye.
